On Tuesday 1 October 2019 the BFI will host LUMINOUS, our biennial fundraising Gala at London’s iconic Roundhouse. Join a host of British stars and industry luminaries for a spectacular celebration of film to raise vital funds for the British Film Institute.
Your support through LUMINOUS is vital in helping the BFI light the way for the next generation of filmmakers. Film is an industry thriving as never before, yet the routes to enter it often remain unattainable for many. Creating opportunity for young people with a passion for film is the driving force behind all our education programmes. BFI education supports young talent from every background and all corners of the UK to find their path into successful and rewarding film careers.
Help us create opportunity so we can celebrate the talent of our next generation.
The IWC Schaffhausen Filmmaker Bursary Award in association with the BFI will be awarded at the Gala: a £50,000 award to benefit an outstanding British writer, director, or writer/director whose first or second fiction feature film premieres at the BFI London Film Festival.
