BFI Luminous

Celebrating next generation storytelling

Thursday 29 September 2022

On Thursday 29 September 2022 the BFI will host LUMINOUS, our biennial fundraising Gala at London’s iconic hotel, The Londoner. Join a host of British stars and industry luminaries for a spectacular celebration of film and generosity in aid of the British Film Institute.

At LUMINOUS we turn a lens to the young, brilliant talent of today that will drive the stories we will see on screen tomorrow.

Every contribution made at LUMINOUS goes straight to the work we do to help young people find their way into a career in film. Funds raised support specialised courses, workshops, masterclasses, nationwide festivals, mentoring, and more. Through our programmes the talent of aspiring filmmakers is carefully cultivated, ideas for work that will one day appear on our screens are sparked and encouraged, and doors that may have appeared closed, are opened.

LUMINOUS is a really important night for the BFI, and an unforgettable, remarkable evening where people come together to build a vibrant, open and acclaimed UK screen culture.
